How many of you are running around with your hands flaring looking like a chicken without a head right now? Well, I will be honest – I'm not but I am VERY excited about this. I was looking around Crackberry when I saw a 'present' waiting for all of the people there. Mastamoon decided to send out the official os6 icons to everyone and luckily I was there to download them and share them with the rest of you. So without further a do….

This icon set includes – well – everything. From indicators, to icons, to media player buttons, to… everything!

Use the discussion link below and tell me how much we rule!

EDIT

The perks of being the only theming website is great. Dave at bbthemes.co.uk sent me the OS6 icons resized for just about every device. You can still download the original Zip file with everything in it, but I have also included the resized icons too.

User Agreements

*sigh* I know we need to have some sort of agreement for this set too. Actually, I am so excited for everyone that will be downloading this – there are no agreements. But…..

  • Blackberry Theme Lab is not responsibile for what you do with these icons. We did not create them, we did not hack them, all we did was find them and provide them to you.
  • You may use these icons in your premium themes, or your free ones.
  • We do not require you to say where you got them from, but always keep in mind that Blackberry Theme Lab is doing what we can to provide the developer (you) the best of the best!!

A few extra notes

  • If you design themes, you must figure out what icon is for what. The file names are not correct and do not state what the icon should be used for.
  • We will not resize them, recolor them, or restyle them. We are waiting until RIM releases the Official - Official – OS6 icons to do that for you. Until then, this is what you get.
  • With the devices we have now we are used to seeing 52x52 or 73x73 or 80x80… these icons are not labeled and not sized.
  • You need photo editing software (Fireworks worked better than Photoshop for me) to edit the size of these icons.
  • From the looks of the filename of the icons, it looks as though they came from a 360x400 pixel device, also known as the Pearl.

Glad you guys found these useful and thanks for putting them on your site.  OS6 icons for everybody!

With the response I got from my quick theme using these icons, maybe I shoulda saved them for myself just a bit longer? Surprised Laugh

Wow! Thank you very much for sharing. After looking over the file, I see there's a LOT more than I was expecting. It's going to be very interesting to see if I can sort through all 663 pngs and put them in the right places. Wish me luck, I'll need it.

Thanks again for posting these.  It's nice to have the originals and they look great.  I have a question though.  When I open the original png's in Photo Shop Pro the images are not the same as when I preview them with windows or import them into Theme Builder.  They are kind of messed up and I'm not sure what I need to do to fix that.  Maybe it's PSP because I've had this problem with images from the Theme Builder images before, but usually it's just one image (typically the default or home folder image, I can't remember at this point).

Any thoughts from the image manipulating experts??

@aceroller = No focus – Wasn't included in the zip file to begin with.

@seagull = I found that opening them up in Fireworks worked best. Photoshop didn't work for me. I haven't tried Gimp as I do not have it on my PC.

It is a free program – try it.

I think I've done a decent job putting the icons in the proper places. I decided to make some changes to them to maybe give them a more familiar feel. Of the few that were missing (or simply changed beyond my comprehension/recognition) I made by retooliing, using some of the other images in the pack. I'm not sure if I missed the setup folder, or if you (Matt) and I had the same idea.

A question on the resized set:

The unread indicators has 10 images but 11 in the resized set. Will that rss image throw us off if we use it in our themes? (8530) Or will it just go unused?

I didn't create the resized icon set. The RSS looking icons in my opinion shouldn't be for manage connection – but it works. Also, I think there is a folder icon in the original zip file (not the resized).

LOL!!!

Don't worry man, it happened to me too. I was wondering why the icons didn't show up when I was inside of the folder. Then it just came over me – click OK and see what happens. It works – I was a pig in shit!
